Fox News is Fake News [UPDATE OCT 31]
TWO UPDATES OCT 31. Scroll down. They’re clearly marked.
By now you’ve probably seen the meme going around on social media saying someone shouted Jesus is Lord at one of her rallies, and she told them they were at the wrong rally. Maybe you’ve also seen the Fox interview with those two hecklers.
I watched the rally in question. I saw the part where the boys started shouting. What I heard was Lies! Lies! and something unintelligible as the crowd erupted. Following is the UNEDITED clip, exactly as I saw it while watching the rally.
I don’t know how to get the Fox video on the page, but you can Click Here and watch it.
Fox EDITED THE VIDEO! They removed the crowd noise and the Lies! and enhanced the religious comments. They made the entire thing sound like something it’s not.
Kamala is a member of the Third Baptist Church in San Francisco and she is very active in that church. So does that mean Kamala is a born again Christian? I never attended a church service or prayer meeting with her, so I can’t say with certainty that she is, but she has the compassion and empathy of a Christ follower, and she’s familiar with the Bible.
Trump on the other hand… Every time an interviewer asks Trump if he ever prayed for forgiveness, he almost invariably says no, he doesn’t need to. I did see one variation of his response in an interview a few weeks ago. He said no, he took communion in the Presbyterian church and that cleansed him. He obviously doesn’t know Romans 3:23 ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Communion gets nobody into Heaven. In fact, every time anyone tries to pin him down about the Bible, he flounders. He’s completely unfamiliar with it.
Here’s a video from June of this year about a Trump rally inside a church. If you don’t want to watch the entire video, start it at about 7 minutes 30 seconds. Sorry about the language. I’m only the messenger. But this doesn’t look very Christian to me.
Earlier this month he offered to sign a Rabbi’s prayer book. I don’t know if that would count as blasphemy, but it sure illustrates his feelings of self importance.
Trump supporters say Kamala can’t be a Christian because she’s pro-choice. Listen up! Anyone who insists that Trump is a Christian and makes excuses for his lies, bullying and hateful rhetoric is not qualified to judge anyone’s Christian standing.
Kamala is left on some issues and in the middle on others. She wants a $50K tax break for small businesses. I’m all for that. Many small businesses have been hurt by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that Trump signed into law in December 2017. Kamala is for Shop Local. Trump is not. I do feel that some of Kamala’s proposals are over the top. But her proposals won’t damage the country like the stuff Trump wants to do.
She’s emphatically a hundreds times better person than Trump will ever be. Stop believing Trump’s outright lies about her. If all you know about Kamala is what Trump and the far right spin doctors are saying, then you don’t know anything at all about her.
Some of Trump’s lies follow. Or should I say delusions. He seems to believe his own untruths.
Trump says Kamala will make gender-affirming surgery for state prisoners legal. The reality is, it was already legal while Trump was in office. The video going around that makes it look like Kamala is saying she will make it legal was edited. She was asked about it, and she was answering that she will support the existing law. (Personally, I’m against any medically unnecessary medical care for prisoners).
Trump says the Biden administration had the worst hurricane response in the history of our country. The truth is, Trump was the ONLY president in at least the last several administrations (if not all of them), who actively fought to block federal funds from being used for hurricane relief. He did manage to block a lot of it.
[UPDATE OCT 31: Puerto Rico has been thrust into the political limelight. Trump claims he sent more hurricane relief aid to Puerto Rico than any other president. The truth is, he blocked more than $50 Billion of the $91 Billion that was earmarked for their relief. Trump has also bragged about the shiploads of supplies he had sent there. Except he didn’t. Almost all medical and other supplies sent to Puerto Rico was by non-profit organizations.]
Trump says the Biden administration let millions of illegals cross the border. Remember why Trump wanted to build the wall? Because the crossings were out of control, as it has been for many decades. One of Kamala’s first public speeches was telling them, “Do not come”. They would be deported. There are still a lot of crossings, too many of them, but Biden has continually tightened restrictions, and numbers are down. The numbers might have gone down a lot more if Trump-supporting Republicans hadn’t killed the Lankford Border Bill.
I could give a hundred more examples of Trump placing blame where it doesn’t belong.
We have some very bad people. We have some sick people, radical left lunatics. And I think they’re the big — and it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen.
This is one of many, many scary things Trump has said. He wants to sic the military on US citizens on US soil. Trump supporters get mad when Trump is described as “unhinged”. He absolutely is. His supporters keep denying that he is saying the deranged things that he’s saying. Aren’t his supporters watching his rallies for themselves? If they are, they have selective hearing. I think his supporters are getting most of their information from memes and satire news sites. Of course, some of his supporters do hear some of the horrible things he says. They say he’s joking. Yeah, right. Watch the whole speech in context when he says something. He’s not joking.
When Trump was campaigning in 2020, as I watched his rallies, sometimes the hairs on the back of my neck would stand up. Some of the things he said, the way he said them, made me think of my mother as she mentally destabilized starting around her 70s. She had always had emotional problems, but during the last decade+ of her life, she grew increasingly erratic and illogical.
During Trump’s current campaign, only four years after the last one, his mental decline is dramatically apparent.
He blames other people for doing things that he himself did/is doing and the people he’s blaming didn’t do. Just like my mother did.
Instead of answering a question, he’ll launch into a tirade about something completely unrelated to the question. Just like my mother did.
He’ll start talking about something, and before he even gets to the point, in mid sentence he’ll start talking about something else. Just like my mother did.
If anyone disagrees with him, he turns on them and childishly insults them, and even threatens them. Just like my mother did.
He has a persecution complex. He thinks everyone is out to slander him. Just like my mother did.
He periodically lapses into incoherent slurring for a few words while he’s speaking. Just like my mother did.
He makes impossible promises like my mother did. I watched the California Coachella rally. Trump said if he gets elected, he’ll make sure California has plenty of water. How’s he going to do that? Conjure it up like a wizard?
On several occasions Trump has said he was the best president this country ever had. My mother would say no man could ever have found a better wife than she was.
He does have lucid periods where he speaks strongly and assuredly. He almost sounds like a normal person. Just like my mother did.
But overall, he’s slowly becoming more deranged, delusional, confused and incongruous. Just like my mother did.
[UPDATE OCT 31: The question of Trump’s health is coming up much more frequently. His periods of losing his balance and slurring his speech are happening more often lately. All the symptoms I covered above – when my mother had her first stroke, after all the tests were run, the doctors said she had probably been having mini strokes for a long while, which were the likely cause of her physical deterioration and erratic mental behavior. I’m expecting Trump to have a full blown stroke, maybe sooner than later.]
It’s not just mental deterioration going on. Something is wrong with him physically. Watch some of his campaign videos from 2016 and 2020. Not a lot of difference. Compare those to now. Big difference. He’s slow in speech and sometimes dozes off when others are speaking. He has some balance issues when walking, and when he’s standing without something to hold onto for support. He cancelled several rallies and interviews lately. His staff said he needed a rest. And he refuses to let his medical records get released. That says something. If Trump gets elected, be prepared for possibly ending up with President Vance, because Trump appears to be heading for a stroke or something.
A reminder for people who are trying to turn this into a religious battle.
