It is true we need to pray for our leaders, and we need to respect the office of the President.
But I can’t believe Trump has God’s blessing. Trump is antithetical to everything Jesus taught. I could give a hundred examples why he’s a hypocrite, a liar and a conman, not to mention delusional. In fact, I’ve covered a lot of it in this blog already, complete with links to prove it. But here, I’ll cover one issue that is near and dear to my heart.
A lot of my adult life has been devoted to helping to feed the hungry. I’m now completely disabled and homebound, so I can’t work in the field any more, but the Internet is a wonderful tool when used correctly. I’m able to sit here in front of my computer and work with local charity groups in a behind-the-scenes capacity.
Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” made massive cuts to all the programs that help feed the hungry (SNAP, Healthy Benefits, Meals on Wheels, school lunch programs, and all the others). He used the excuse that it was to cut fraud and get illegals off the rolls. But the fact is, illegals WERE AND ARE NOT allowed to participate in these Federal programs in the first place, and the programs are so closely monitored and so heavily and frequently audited that fraud is rare. Applicants have to jump through a hundred hoops to prove they need the help, and the information they submit is cross checked through multiple databases. It’s near impossible for applicants to fake their information, and when they do, they get caught when the system throws up the red flags.
So now I’m working with the working poor, elderly, disabled and children who were already having a hard time getting enough food, but after that bill went into effect, they are having an even harder time. Cutting funds to feeding programs accomplished nothing except to take food away from hurting American citizens.

Trump made Jerusalem the capital of Israel again, gave them power over the temple mount, and took it away from the Muslims. He is responsible for the Abraham Accord, and will be helping to build the 3rd Temple.
On January 23, 1950, Israel’s parliament (the Knesset) passed a 60–2 vote to officially declare Jerusalem the capital of the modern State of Israel.
Many countries did not recognize the resolution (reasons are too complicated to go into here). All Trump did was officially recognize it on behalf of the US.
The Trump administration explicitly reaffirmed support for the longstanding status quo at the Temple Mount (Haram al-Sharif), which leaves day-to-day administration under the Islamic Waqf. Control was not handed over to Israel, nor taken away from Muslims.

Yes, he brokered the Abraham Accord, but it’s not working as well as he intended. The countries involved are still at each other’s throats all the time.
He has helped to make abortion illegal
The Hyde Amendment was passed in 1976. It expressly forbids the use of federal funds for abortions (except when a woman is pregnant as a result of rape or incest, or when her pregnancy endangers her life).
What has happened in red states which have followed Trump’s lead is to make it very difficult for women with an unviable or dead fetus, or an ectopic pregnancy, to get an induced abortion in a medical emergency. This greatly increases a women’s chance of dying or developing a long term medical condition. A number of women have already died. How can anyone support this?

The 300,000+ figure stems from a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Inspector General and ICE reporting issue—specifically, cases where children lacked a scheduled court notice or missed an initial hearing between 2019 and 2024 (spanning both the first Trump and Biden administrations). The DHS admits that administrative tracking gaps or unverified sponsor addresses does not mean hundreds of thousands of children are enslaved or missing in sex trafficking rings; the vast majority were placed with family members or legal sponsors
I really don’t understand how Christians can vote against the Republicans that are running because they hate him.
That is a nasty statement. A Jesus-centered Christian does not hate. Furthermore, they vote for the person, not the party. It so happens that there are both Republican and Democrat candidates that I support.
We are supporting America and our freedoms because there won’t be any with socialism.
MAGAs have a fundamental misunderstanding of the terms “socialism” and “communism”.
The United States is a constitutional republic. A constitutional republic strives to promote individual rights and the collective welfare of society through a structured political framework. If we remove that framework, we become a lawless third world country where people are starving, instead of a civilized country that takes care of it’s people.
All the Democrats I interact with want to strengthen our constitutional republic, not destroy it.
Most Democrats tend toward liberal capitalism and support free trade, equality and social safety nets. This is the opposite of socialism and communism.
The Trump Administration has announced or completed deals to take ownership stakes in more than 30 private companies. That is a HUGE step towards communism and socialism.
There are a few extreme left and extreme right nuts who promote forms of communism, but they are in the minority.
Democrats have removed every thing that has connections to God in any way
You could be rid of that notion if you would get out there in the slums and start working with the poorest of the poor, the downtrodden, the hungry, the homeless. In most groups I’ve volunteered with, there have been *at least* as many Democrats volunteering as there are Republicans.
How can you paint Democrats with a broad brush when there are so many of them being God’s hands and feet, and so many Republicans that aren’t?

Don’t insult my intellect. I’m not so ignorant that I get my information from news outlets, memes, random social media posts, political ads and other people’s opinions. I do actual real research.
Why would you think [Biden] didn’t Prosecute Trump for the 4 years [he] had FULL control and access?
I’ve seen that illogical question going around a lot. But like I said, I don’t get my information from memes and random social media posts. And my opinions are certainly not formed by such.
The Epstein files were sealed by the courts until after Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial. Biden, nor anyone else, could release what was not available to them. This is how the court system works. Files are sealed until after the trial.
The files were unsealed in 2024, but not released until the H.R.4405 – Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed.
